Avery & Co

34 S Tay St, Dundee DD1 1PD, UK – 01382 201533

Nice place to go for a meal. Good food.

Great food, great coffee, good service. Plastic plants and too many hard surfaces hold it back a bit. Will go back for sure.

Tahini

11 Bank St, Dundee DD1 1RL, UK – 01382 203907

Such a unique experience. You order 3 or 5 courses, and then the feast begins and you get to try one amazing dish after the other! For us, 3 courses were more than enough, we were SO FULL! We're both vegans, and our favourite course was the first one as it was basically flatbread with all these amazing dips and spreads and salads! In the second course you were able to tell there was supposed to be a lot more meat etc there, less choices there. The last course good too. If you don't eat diary I would not recommend getting 5 courses as the last course is all deserts and nothing without egg or milk! When the server heard we were vegans he brought out watermelon on the house so that was really sweet. Overall I totally recommend, something there for everyone!

I was only here for coffee with a friend as he did not want food, however it’s a nice clean place. The menu prices where not good for what it seems and my coffee was amazing, as his was tea. Staff where friendly and decor was amazing, it’s a nice place to go. I would recommend people come here! I will be coming back again to try the food. Worth a 5 star!

Rancho Pancho

16 Commercial St, Dundee DD1 3EJ, UK – 01382 229070

What can I say, first time here and will definitely be back. Food was lush with large portions reasonably priced. Needed a doggy bag to take home which was indeed supplied. Service was attentive adding to the whole experience. My belly is busting full. Thank you!

Fantastic food, reasonably priced and very friendly. Came here on the back of online reviews - on a flying visit to Dundee - and was not disappointed. Book ahead if you can: I came on a quiet rainy Monday at 7pm - and they only just squeezed me in.

Best Reviewed Indian Restaurants and Takeaways in Mossgiel Primary School or in Dundee area

I am there a couple of times a year with my family, I love my Indian food and this place is amazing! I would recommend that everyone goes there if you love curry. Staff are friendly, always serving with a smile and doing the best to help. Food is always cooked to perfection - never had any bad services from there.

Sunny's Restaurant Dundee

5 Whitehall St, Dundee DD1 4AA, UK – 01382 203223

Good restaurant for dining with family. Excellent food. Waiting staff helpful and Friendly. The selection of dishes on offer is great. Very reasonably priced too.

Jahangir Tandoori

1 Session St, Dundee DD1 5DN, UK – 01382 202022

This is am AMAZING takeaway, I've just got a takeout and sooooo impressed. I travel a fair bit for work and always like to have a curry. I must say that this is in my top 5 Indian restaurants (and that includes restaurants I've been to in India!) The food is very very delicious, good portions size and staff are very friendly. I can't recommend this place more!

I have been coming here for over a year every month and absolutely love their curries. Highly recommended.

Best Reviewed Italian Pasta and Pizza Restaurants

Bellini Restaurant

36 Commercial St, Dundee DD1 3EJ, UK – 01382 205444

Lovely food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff - but sone of the chairs are not very comfortable.

Really good food (big portion too), great staff and chill atmosphere.

Kingsway Cuisine

135 Kingsway E, Dundee DD4 8PX, UK – 01382 502417

Excellent chiper and very good service nice people to speak to .

Good food and friendly staff

Italian Grill

6 City Square, Dundee DD1 3BA, UK – 01382 690600

Gave us a table at short notice when they were really busy on a Saturday evening. Very pleasant, helpful staff giving prompt service. Our party of 3 all had 3 courses a NG d the food was fantastic. One of our party is gluten intolerant and this was no problem to the kitchen staff, offering a good selection of gluten free meals. Will be hurrying back. 👍👍

I can only speak for myself, and will admit that at the time, the restaurant was almost empty which may have effected the service, but I had an absolutely lovely experience. One of the nicest I've actually had in the city. The food, in my personal opinion, was amazing, the prices were more than reasonable and the service was quick and friendly. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Jam Jar

2b Whitehall Cres, Dundee DD1 4AU, UK – 01382 791841

Great atmosphere and music. Cosy setting. Wow cocktails ! Well worth a visit.

A wonderful place for having fresh made cocktails. The service is one of the best in town, we loved it. So, why 4*? For my taste the music was to loud and the selection of generes do not match with the vibe of the place. A cocktail place with top notch quality with amazing decoration and service but with loud electronic music? Well for my taste do not match at all, but besides that, if you like that kinda music and all of above then, Jam Jar is your 5* cocktail place in Dundee.

Jute Cafe Bar

152 Nethergate, Dundee DD1 4DY, UK – 01382 909246

Really nice food and a great restaurant all round.

Great cafe, attentive and friendly staff, extensive menu, delicious food and generous portions. It's usually really busy so I'd recommend booking a table in advance.

The Wine Press

16 Shore Terrace, Dundee DD1 3DN, UK – 01382 204444

It was a beautiful warm, sunny afternoon /evening and we were lucky to get a stool at the window. The outside area was full as was the interior. Friendly staff and lovely ambience.

Warm, small and popular establishment for a nice glass of wine with a variable about of platters to have and share whilst here. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Great atmosphere but busy and you may need to contact them to get a reservation.

Dundee Chinese Restaurants

Mandarin Garden

40 - 44 S Tay St, Dundee DD1 1PF, UK – 01382 227733

Friendly service very nice food. And concern when ordering from Chinese menu. Lol

Clean plain premises with helpful friendly staff. Quality of food is excellent.

City Harbour Chinese Buffet Restaurant

City Qy City Quay, 21A Camperdown St, Dundee DD1 3JA, UK – 01382 228891

Pretty good place to eat Chinese buffet. They offer variety of dishes and they do taste pretty good. Jimmy Chung's used to be good but this one takes the lead now when it comes to food and the amount of good quality of dishes the place offers

The Manchurian Dim Sum Restaurant 翠竹軒

15A Gellatly St, Dundee DD1 3DY, UK – 01382 228822

Excellent food at reasonable prices. Different menus give plenty of choice - from the more exotic dishes to everyday Chinese food. Restaurant is spotless. Service is great! Well worth a visit if you enjoy great Chinese food.

Lunch with friends today. Food was great. Service excellent. Would certainly reccomend and will come again.

Dundee Vegetarian or Vegan Restaurants

The Bach

31 Meadowside, Dundee DD1 1DJ, UK – 01382 869902

The place, food, and coffee are lovely. The home made cakes are simply amazing! However, do try to go at a quieter time, as the service at the Bach is slow. The staff are friendly and polite, but seem over run at lunch times, so do expect a long wait. Vegetarian, vegan, and dog friendly. You have to go up a couple of steps to get in. Highly recommended if you have a lot of time to spare, as the long waiting times are the only thing letting the Bach down.

Stopped for a late lunch with our springer spaniel while exploring Dundee. Food was delicious and they had a great selection of coffee. Nice and cool on a scorching hot day. Plenty of water bowls and dog beds. Toilets were immaculate and staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

Wee Mexico

134 Nethergate, Dundee DD1 4ED, UK – 01382 522676

Great burritos, good prices. Vegan/vegetarian friendly. Not a fancy place, would be ideal for a quick lunch/to grab food to go. Very pleased with the place overall, would recommend it to my friends & come back again. :)

Fantastic! Many vegan options. I love the 'rustical ambiente'. Very friendly persons there. The meal tasted great. The prices are very good. If you are in Dundee, please come for one meal.

Project Pizza

48 Reform St, Dundee DD1 1RT, UK – 01382 220909

Great experience. Two kids with dietary needs (gluten and dairy) , staff were so helpful and knowledgeable. Checked every ingredient for us no problem. Food great. Thanks for making lunch a stressfree experience.

I love that they make the pizza right in front of you. It's literally just a ball of dough when you start and they put on everything right in front of you. Amazing place would definitely visit again. Post places sell pizza that has been preprepaired. A bit on the expensive side but I think it's worth it. Staff is really nice as well

Nice place to meet up with a friend u don't see often for a Coffee/Latte/Cappuccino/Hot Milk/Espresso/ Black Coffee or cup of Tea & a nice breakfast. It's a nice staff friendly quite family environment. Then it's also a really great place 2 meet up with a few close friend's at the weekend maybe & have a nice quiet drink with friendly staff & some music playing in the background. So all in all, yeah I will definitely be back!!!

Love this place which is why I keep coming back. Whenever I am in the city centre I always think of this place for Lunch or Dinner. Big menu. Good Prices. Well thought mobile app. Lots of seats but often very full so you need to scramble to get a table. Free WiFi also.

The Tinsmith

11-13 Old Hawkhill, Dundee DD1 5EU, UK – 01382 204198

Always excellent service from friendly staff. The food is consistently good, great for kids and great value. This is our go-to pub, absolutely brilliant.

Good service. Wide choice of drinks. Food very tasty and reasonably priced.

Old Bank Bar

34 Reform St, Dundee DD1 1RH, UK – 01382 226552

Excellent service. We tried the lasagna and fried scampi it was exceptional. Good beer selection as well and timely service

The barman was talkative and the liquor wasn't watered down. Only stayed for one though. Not because of a lack of atmosphere, just for pub crawl reasons.
