The rooms are excellent and there is a lovely restaurant. The prices in the restaurant and bar are what one would expect in an upmarket hotel. There is a nice leisure centre and you can receive various treatments, they do cost of course a bit more than you local high street prices but not as expensive as some hotels. The staff are very pleasant and to try to please the customers. The hotel is close to the city centre, 5 -10 minute walk.
Came here for a quick bar lunch on our way home. I've always liked the Apex, definitely one of the better hotels in Dundee but for a quick bite to eat, look elsewhere. The buffalo chicken is simply phenomenal, but boy is it expensive. I also had a portion of chips, triple cooked apparently but I suspect that stamen could be false. And £5.50 for a small bowl of chips, really? For that reason, I cannot recommend the Apex for a bar lunch

I've stayed in a few Hampton by Hilton hotels and the standards tend to be very high. The room here in Dundee was typically immaculate and the staff were delightful, but breakfast was very disappointing. There wasn't much choice and it wasn't very warm. But all in all a good stay.
Absolutely amazing value for money. Rooms are high spec and clean. Breakfast one of the best we've had anywhere. Staff are efficient and extremely helpful. A first class hotel at almost a budget price. Can't wait to return.

Very good hotel, staff we very helpfull, room was everything we needed, drinks could be a bit cheaper
Best holiday inn I have stayed in. £65. Very clean, comfy bed, professional staff. I knocked down a star because they had no flora (vegetable oil spread) and I am vegan so could not eat anything apart from fruits.

Always excellent service from friendly staff. The food is consistently good, great for kids and great value. This is our go-to pub, absolutely brilliant.
Good service. Wide choice of drinks. Food very tasty and reasonably priced.

Love this place... drinks are always really good... They know their spirits and cocktails... food is also good... as good as most restaurants... The decor is nice... nice atmosphere... They have pool tables... and live music sometimes
Lots of big TV's to watch the six nations, advertising for which games they were planning on showing for the football as well. Decent selection of drinks. Shame they'd run out of the hunters chicken pie as it sounded pretty awesome. Had the three ways chicken burger instead which was pretty great actually, not a great amount of chips to go with it though and the tables were definitely squint so I had mine on my lap, which ended up working out not so bad with the burger, but not sure how I would have managed with the pie. My partner had the steak pie which he said was lovely but it was too small a piece really, it barely wet his appetite. Overall would go here again but would be making sure we're ordering early for everyone to get the food they would initially like.

Nice place to meet up with a friend u don't see often for a Coffee/Latte/Cappuccino/Hot Milk/Espresso/ Black Coffee or cup of Tea & a nice breakfast. It's a nice staff friendly quite family environment. Then it's also a really great place 2 meet up with a few close friend's at the weekend maybe & have a nice quiet drink with friendly staff & some music playing in the background. So all in all, yeah I will definitely be back!!!
Love this place which is why I keep coming back. Whenever I am in the city centre I always think of this place for Lunch or Dinner. Big menu. Good Prices. Well thought mobile app. Lots of seats but often very full so you need to scramble to get a table. Free WiFi also.

Excellent hotel...Great service very pleasant home comforting rooms...spotlessly clean and great breakfast in the morning I would highly recommend....they had no problem with us taking our little Gorky terrier Bob and ivana
We (couple, Germany) stayed at Balmuirfield house early August 2017 together with our six months old baby and it was definitely the best Scotland experience we could imagine. Starting with the lovely venue, it's garden and the perfect rooms, the owner's family and their care was extraordinary. Great tips, great food and great stories. We really enjoyed the stay and can only recommend to stay here.

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
