The flight flew from RAF Brize Norton on 24th April 2024 with 500 cuddly giraffes on board to raise money and awareness for Great Ormond Street Hospital in memory of Louise Conway who died at just nine years old of leukaemia in 2013. Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate donated 50% of the production costs on behalf of the junior school, Chapter House, and our Forces community across campus - which is about 25% of our total student population.

I use to go to high school here many years ago and very fond memories. When I was in 5th year and it was my parents night, 2 weeks before our prelims, that is when the school burned down and for the remainder of 5th and entire 6th year I went to the old Rockwell school. I did go to the open day couple of years ago and I much prefer the old school compared to the new one, but I won’t let it take from the memories I had there:-) some great times! If I ever have any kids, they are going there!
Beautiful A-listed building, built in the 1860s. It's still a school so you can't go inside, but you get good views from both Forfar Road and Pitkerro.

I have been part of Kanzen for the last 2 and a half years along with my daughter and we wouldn't change it for the world. The support and encouragement we get from Kanzen is second to none. I would 100% recommend Kanzen to anyone who was thinking of taking up karate because Everyone is made to feel very welcome and I know that the dedication and hard work that is put into a club like Kanzen gives anyone wanting to learn and work hard fantastic opportunities for an adventurous karate journey.🥋☺👊
My little boy started at Kanzen Karate at one of the first 3 year old classes and a year on he has grown in confidence and thoroughly enjoys and looks forward to his class each week!
